Poem: wishes / satisfaction (Kalliope again!)

 Once more, I hold Kalliope Amorphous partly responsible (see links) - ‘If I could find the place where I forgot’ was too much for me.

If I could find
the place where I forgot;
If I could dream
a light supernal;
If I could sing
the note of harmony;
If I could tie
scout knots and do
car repairs,
would I succeed in finding
yet other mountains waiting?

Greetings! Thanks for stopping by and for sharing this…I really like it. I will be “googling” Cocteau’s Orphee, as I am sure I will resonate with the imagery. Sibyllae has quoted an excerpt you made on my blog in her blog…and I agree, the statement was exquisite!

hi Kalliope,
you know what I liked about this was that all I had was a feeling for those words, and even half way through the poem I hadn’t the faintest idea where it was going to lead, or how it was going to turn out. I’m not saying that’s THE best way, but it’s ceratinly one that I find very enjoyable.
I’m curious about the quotable quote - do you have the link for Sibyllae, so I can go and admire myself in the mirror - or not; old stuff can be of unpredictable effect!
I think you will have a major Damascus Road thing with Orphee - I mean, you in particular. Let me know what happens - including if it’s a thumbs down. Everything to do with people is interesting!

Happy Sunday!! :)

Oh, that! (It was a throw-away remark, if ever there was one!)
I was thinking of you watching Orphee and it made me very happy to imagine that! keep me posted on that?

I love this piece.

I find you, Kalliope, and Sibyllae always inspiring.
